ONCE A YEAR
You'll have a thoughtful chat about your child with a professional interviewer
We edit the recording into a beautifully produced episode.
This annual interview helps you capture your thoughts and feelings about your child — and we make that process easy, by taking on all of the work. It feels like catching up with an old friend, and you can be confident that our editors will craft the recording into an amazing episode.
Interviews last half an hour (we schedule for 45 minutes, so that nobody feels rushed) and take place remotely, over the computer or phone.
ONCE A MONTH
Your interviewer sends you a personalized prompt
You’ll receive it by text message and answer with a short voice note (add photos, too).
What are monthly prompts like?
We get you talking about things like developmental milestones, summer vacations, Halloween costumes, and family traditions. Sometimes we’ll even ask you to record them singing their favorite song, or to capture yourself reading that book they love for the 80th bedtime in a row....

Frequently asked questions
We edit each interview down from roughly 30 minutes to roughly 20, fixing any awkward pauses, coughing fits, or instances where someone might have stumbled over a phrase to ensure that every guest sounds like sharpest version of themselves. Then, during the polish, an audio engineer adjusts each track to make sure it sounds as good as possible, and adds music to the intro and outro.
We currently conduct interviews in English, Spanish, and French. We plan to support additional languages in the coming months. If you would like to purchase an Artifact in another language, please share that with us by emailing coordinator@heyartifact.com.
If an interview is never scheduled for an Artifact episode, we refund 100% of your payment for that episode, no questions asked. If an interview is scheduled for an Artifact episode, we refund your payment for that episode minus a $35 cancellation fee. This fee compensates the interviewer for reserving time on their calendar, and covers the administrative costs of preparing the interview. Refund requests must be made to coordinator@heyartifact.com within 180 days from purchase. Interviews must be completed within 365 days from purchase.
